Tom Cruise’s mother, Mary Lee South, dead at age 80

Tom Cruise has lost his mom — and greatest fan. Mary Lee South passed on a week ago. She was 80 years of age. 

South kicked the bucket gently in her rest and was given a dedication benefit at her neighborhood Church of Scientology throughout the end of the week, People gave an account of Monday. 

Cruise, 54, was joined by sisters Lee Ann DeVette, 57, Cass Mapother, 55, and Marian Henry, 52, at the administration. 

South reportedly was doing combating a few medical problems, however the reason for her demise was not announced. 

South was a specialized curriculum instructor when she wedded Cruise's dad, electrical architect Thomas Cruise Mapother III. 

The family dwelled in Syracuse, N.Y., where Cruise was raised and built up his adoration for acting — a vocation he said his mom motivated. 

Voyage's folks part in 1974; in a 2006 meeting with People, the super star depicted his dad as "a bully." 

She wedded Jack South in 1978, when Cruise was a young person, and the family moved to Glen Ridge, N.J. 

Journey and his mom allegedly shared a cozy relationship throughout the years. She once said she was her child's "greatest audience."
